      Historically Fort Wayne’s first municipal airport, Smith Field (SMD) is a general aviation airport serving private, corporate, and recreational aviation in Allen County. The facility supports regional business travel, pilot training, and aviation maintenance technology classes.

      Elevated by Ivy Tech’s (FAA)-certified Aviation Maintenace Technology program, we’re training the next generation of aircraft mechanics to fill the needs of our growing local aerospace industry.
